Advanced Life-Saving Skills for Moderate and High-Risk Workplaces
Intermediate First Aid (formerly OFA Level 2) is the WorkSafeBC-required course for people working in medium to high-risk jobs in Vancouver. This includes construction, warehouses, light manufacturing, recreation, and hospitality.
As of September 1, 2024, WorkSafeBC updated the program name to “Intermediate First Aid” to align with national safety standards. This course is required when Basic First Aid is not enough for workplace safety.
At Primary Care First Aid, our 2-day Intermediate First Aid course in Vancouver is taught by active firefighters and paramedics. You will learn hands-on skills using the Priority Action Approach to confidently handle serious injuries, medical emergencies, and complete required WorkSafeBC reports.
