Standard First Aid with CPR/AED Level C is recognized by WorkSafeBC as equivalent to Intermediate First Aid (formerly OFA Level 2) under the updated CSA Z1210-17 standards introduced in July 2024. This means it meets workplace requirements for moderate to higher-risk environments in British Columbia and is also nationally recognized across Canada.
This course provides more comprehensive training, covering not only life-threatening emergencies but also injury management, medical conditions, and ongoing care until paramedics arrive.
Standard First Aid with CPR/AED Level C uses a blended learning format — online theory at your own pace, followed by in-person skills training.

Standard First Aid with CPR/AED Level C in Surrey is available for individuals, workplaces, and community groups throughout Surrey and Metro Vancouver.
The course uses a blended format. You complete roughly 8 hours of online theory at your own pace before attending a 6-hour in-person skills session. Total training is approximately 14 hours across both formats.
Yes. Since July 1, 2024, Standard First Aid with CPR/AED Level C is recognized by WorkSafeBC as equivalent to Intermediate First Aid (formerly OFA Level 2) under the updated CSA Z1210-17 national standards.
No prior experience is required. The course is open to complete beginners and those renewing an expired certificate.
