The Occupational First Aid Intermediate course from WorkSafeBC has taken the place of the former Occupational First Aid Level 2 training. This comprehensive program is tailored to provide you with the essential skills and knowledge necessary to effectively handle emergencies in the workplace.
Whether you are an experienced professional or new to your career, this training covers vital first aid techniques, including CPR, wound care, and injury assessment.
Designed specifically for workplace first aid attendants, this course will instruct you on how to deliver care to adults.
Effective September 1, 2024, the Occupational First Aid Intermediate course will succeed the previous Occupational First Aid Level 2 training program.
Who should take this course?
This Intermediate First Aid course is tailored for urban first aid responders, particularly those employed in larger low-risk environments or individuals in high-risk sectors who are located within a 20-minute radius of the nearest hospital.
Offered in Surrey, Vancouver, and Coquitlam, this program focuses on Intermediate First Aid skills.
Prerequisites For This Course:
Candidates must be at least 16 years of age and be able to understand and perform the first aid skills required to complete the learning tasks. No previous first aid training is required. You DO NOT have to take Basic First Aid (OFA Level 1) before taking this course.
The curriculum includes:
Primary Care First Aid is as a First Aid Training Agency through WorkSafeBC. Upon successful completion of the course, each participant will receive a 3-year certification in Intermediate First Aid.
