What used to take a full week (5 days) can now be completed in our high-intensity 2-day (16-hour) course. Our Surrey (Cloverdale) training center is led by active-duty firefighters and paramedics. Candidates must be at least 16 years of age and be able to understand and perform the first aid skills required to complete the learning tasks. No previous first aid training is required.  You DO NOT have to take  Basic First Aid (OFA Level 1) before taking this course.

FAQ

Is Intermediate First Aid the same as OFA 2?

Yes. As of late 2024, WorkSafeBC officially renamed Occupational First Aid Level 2 to Intermediate First Aid. It is the same certification level but with a more efficient 2-day training format.

Yes. There are no prerequisites. You do not need to take Basic First Aid (OFA 1) before enrolling in this course.

The certificate is valid for 3 years. We recommend reading our guide on maintaining your first aid certification to stay current.
