Who should take Emergency Child Care First Aid?

This course is ideal for child care workers, parents, babysitters, and anyone who works with or cares for infants and children.

What does the course cover?

Topics include infant and child CPR Level B, AED use, choking response for infants and children, and recognition and management of pediatric emergencies.

How long is the certificate valid?

The certificate is valid for 3 years from the date of successful completion.

Emergency Child Care First Aid with CPR/AED Level B

Course Information

The course teaches lifesaving first aid skills. It includes cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and automated external defibrillator (AED) use. The training focuses on helping children and babies.

The course meets safety requirements for early childhood educators. It also meets safety rules for daycare workers in provinces and territories.

After successful completion of the course, each participant will receive a 3 year Emergency Child Care First Aid with CPR/AED Level B certification from the Canadian Red Cross.
